This month, the Atlantic 10 is looking back at the 22 championships during the 2023-24 academic year.
Below is the Cross Country rewind.

Loyola Chicago won both the Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships last fall for the second straight year.

The women scored 65 points with three top-10 finishers. VCU's Lauren Tunnell was the individual champion with a course-record breaking time of 20:50.6. The Ramblers Delia McDade Clay placed sixth with a time of 21:15.8 while Grace Kuhn (21:30.4) and Julia Isham (21:32.0) place ninth and 10th for Loyola. All three earned All-Conference, which is awarded to the top 15 finishers.

The men Loyola Chicago finished with 26 points, with five runners in the top 10, led by individual champion Chris Devaney, who set a course record at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course. Devaney, last year’s individual champion as well, won the race in 23:48.6, besting a record of 24:11.8, set by Dayton’s Chris Lemon in 2010. It’s also the third-fastest time in A-10 Championship History.

Francois Guilhot (24:08.7) placed third and Woody Jerome (24:10.2) was fourth for the Ramblers, who had six total runners earn All-Conference honors, including Devaney, Guilhot and Jerome. Jerome was also named the Most Outstanding Rookie.
