Second-Seeded Richmond scored three of the final four goals to beat Massachusetts, 14-13, and win its second straight Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship in May.
Alexis Morton scored twice late, including the game winner at 3:15, ending a back-and-forth fourth quarter that provided a thrilling finish in the 11th title game meeting between the two A-10 women’s lacrosse powerhouses.
Richmond took an 6-1 lead out of the gates, with two goals from Grace Muldoon, who recorded four goals, two assists, six draw controls and two ground balls Sunday to earn the Championship’s Most Outstanding honors.
