WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 selected Saint Joseph’s junior Megan Sanelli as its Under Armour Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and George Washington senior Stella Ray as the Defensive Player of the Week. Revolutionaries freshman Mia Milkowski earned Rookie of the Week honors. The league announced the awards on Monday for games played from March 9-15.
 
Sanelli scored a career-high six points in Saint Joseph’s win over George Mason on Sunday, lifting the Hawks over the Patriots, 16-15. The midfielder from Collegeville, Pa. matched her career-high with four goals – all coming in the first half. Sanelli added a pair of assists, including what proved to be the game-winning assist with under five minutes to play.
 
Ray anchored the defensive line for George Washington in a two-win week, recording five ground balls, 11 draw controls, and a caused turnover across the two matchups. After collecting three ground balls in the Revolutionaries’ 15-13 victory against Lafayette, the defender from Charlotte, N.C. helped the George Washington hold La Salle to just three goals --- allowing only nine shots on target.
 
Milkowski picked up her second A-10 Rookie of the Week accolade, coming off a pair of strong performances against Lafayette and La Salle to tally 10 total points. The attacker from Rumson, N.J. recorded two goals and four assists in the former matchup, before posting two goals and two assists in the victory over La Salle.
