Weening Repeats as Six A-10 Schools Tally Under Armour Weekly Indoor Track & Field Accolades

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 announced the Under Armour Outdoor Track & Field Weekly awards on Wednesday for meets from March 30 – April 5. George Mason’s Abby Weening repeated as Women’s Field Performer of the Week, while Saint Joseph’s Karin Dobiasch earned Women’s Track Performer of the Week accolades. Duquesne’s Mary Grusky was selected as the Women’s Rookie of the Week.

George Washington’s Nic Rodgers received the Men’s Track Performer of the Week award as Saint Louis’ Tristan Boatman was named Men’s Field Performer of the Week. VCU’s Presten Augustin earned Men’s Rookie of the Week Honors.

Rodgers, a junior from Sydney, Australia, raced a 1:49.22 in the 800 meters on Friday night at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational. The performance leads the A-10 in the event.

Boatman extended his own school record in the hammer throw over the weekend at the Pacesetter Invitational at Indiana State. The senior from Dandridge, Tenn. Rached 64.07 meters, ranking first in the A-10 and 39th nationally.
Augustin, a freshman from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., set a pair of personal records at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational for the Rams. Completing the 110-meter hurdles in 14.04 seconds and the 400-meter hurdles in 52.25 seconds, both ranking atop the A-10 leaderboards.

Dobiasch, a junior from Munich, Germany, eclipsed Saint Joseph’s school record in the 800 meters by over two seconds on Saturday, winning the race at Princeton’s Sam Howell Invitational in 2:07.27. The time marked the fastest in the A-10 this season.
Weening placed second in the women’s high jump at the Dalton Banks Invitational, setting a personal best with a mark of 1.82 meters. The Barrie, Ontario native’s performance ranks first in the A-10 and ninth nationally this season, as well as second on George Mason’s outdoor all-time list.

Grusky became the third Duquesne student-athlete to earn Women’s Rookie of the Week honors in as many weeks, breaking the Dukes’ javelin program record. A freshman from Punxsutawney, Pa., Grusky posted a mark of 51.75 meters – ranking atop the A-10 and 23rd in the NCAA this season.
