Atlantic 10 Recognizes Indoor Track and Field All-Rookie, All-Academic Teams

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference tabbed 28 freshmen to its Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field All-Rookie team and 21 student-athletes to its Men’s and Women’s IT&F All-Academic teams. The recognition, which was announced on Tuesday, recognizes student-athletes for both their academic and athletic contributions. 

The All-Rookie teams honors rookie-eligible student-athletes who hold the fastest time or top distance in the conference for each event. Rookie-eligible student-athletes are individuals who competed in their first year of indoor track and field. 

Eligible student-athletes for the All-Academic teams are individuals who are at least a sophomore and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). 

Rhode Island’s Matt Santy, who earned Most Outstanding Male Field Performer, and Nick Martin, the Most Outstanding Male Track Performer, were named to the All-Academic team. The 2026 Most Outstanding Male Rookie Performer, Lucas Andrade of URI, earned All-Rookie status. 

After collecting Most Outstanding Female Rookie, the Rams’ Zarah Singleton also earned All-Rookie status. She holds the top conference time in the 60M Hurdles.
