First Under Armour Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards Announced

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 announced the first Under Armour Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards of the 2026 season. George Mason’s Ella Semple was named Women’s Track Performer of the Week, while her teammate Kennedy Drish was named Field Performer of the Week.  Saint Louis’ Sam Lamaze was selected as Men’s Track Performer and Rhode Island’s Matt Santy was the Men’s Field Performer of the Week.

Sylvia Kashak from Duquesne and Kellen La Roche of George Mason were the Women’s and Men’s Track Rookies of the Week respectively. The awards covered the first week of competition, March 16-22.

Semple won the women's 1500m at Bob Davidson Team Challenge with personal-best time of 4:26.51. A Lichfield, UK native, she ran the fifth fastest outdoor time in program history, and her time currently ranks first in Atlantic 10 and 31st in NCAA Division I. A graduate student, she also is currently 13th in NCAA East Qualifying List.

Lamaze, a sophomore from New York, broke the school record in the 400 meters at the Margaret Simmons Invitational, running 46.97 to win the event. That is the fastest time in the A-10 on opening weekend and it ranks 32nd in the NCAA.

Drish, a Fishers, Ind. graduate student, won the women's pole vault group A at Bob Davidson Team Challenge with outdoor personal best mark of 4.33m. She set the school record in outdoor women's pole vault. Her height ranks 1st in Atlantic 10, third in NCAA Division I and is first on the NCAA East Regional Outdoor Qualifying List.

At the UCF Black & Gold Challenge, Santy was second in the long jump with a leap of 7.71 meters. The graduate student from Enfield, Conn., placed third in the high jump after clearing 2.15 meters the next day. Both marks lead the A-10 this season and are fifth in the NCAA.

Kashak won the 800 meters in 2:10.11, finishing more than two seconds ahead of the field, at the Charlotte 49er Classic. The Jefferson Hills, Pa., freshman also placed second in the 1,500 meters in 4:29.94, ranking fourth in program history, while her 800-meter time was fifth all-time at Duquesne. Her 800m time ranks first in the Atlantic 10 and the 1500m time is second in the conference. Nationally, her 800m is 19th in the NCAA East Region and 37th in NCAA Division I nationally), and the 1500m time is 30th in NCAA East Region).

La Roche won the men's high jump with a mark of 2.05m at Bob Davidson Team Challenge. His height ranks third in the Atlantic 10 for high jump, 30th in NCAA Division I and 20th on the NCAA East Qualifying List. The freshman from Hampton, Va, won men's long jump at with a mark of 7.11m, which is fifth in A-10 and 38th on the NCAA East Qualifying List.
