WASHINGTON – VCU has been selected to repeat as Atlantic 10 Champions in the 2024 Preseason Men’s Tennis Poll, which was released Thursday by the league. The A-10 also announced the 12-member Preseason All-Conference Team.
The Rams collected 100 poll points, earning all 10 first-place selections in the poll conducted by the conference head coaches. Matisse Bobichon, Mathis Bondaz, Hamza El Amine and Oscar Pinto Sansano all were named to the preseason team for VCU.
Dayton, the runner up in last year’s champion, was picked second with 89 points in the poll. The Flyers will be led by a trio of Preseason All-Conference selections, including Connor Bruce, Matt Demarco and Luis Saraiva.
Richmond was third with 76 poll points and a preseason team bid for Daniel Kliebhan, and Davidson placed fourth in the poll with 69 points. Udday Singh represented the Wildcats on the preseason squad.
Saint Louis (59 points), George Mason (48) and Duquesne (34) were fifth through seventh in the poll respectively. Monil Lotlikar (Mason) and Kaipo Marshall (Duquesne) each were named Preseason All-Conference.
St. Bonaventure’s Archie Graham was the final selection on the preseason team, with his Bonnies (30), Fordham (26) and Saint Joseph’s (19) rounding out the 10-team poll.
The 2024 Championship will be contested April 25-28 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
