WASHINGTON – Saint Louis won the Atlantic 10 women’s soccer regular-season title for the third year in a row and will serve as the No. 1 overall seed entering next week’s A-10 Championship. After winning the Atlantic 10 Championship last year, the Billikens advanced all the way to the third round of the NCAA Tournament, defeating Indiana and Georgetown. The Wildcats finished the year at 8-7-3 overall and 4-5-1 (13 points) in league competition, clinching the eighth seed earlier today with a 2-0 win over Rhode Island, which gave them the head-to-head tiebreaker.

In addition to Saint Louis, second-seeded Dayton earned the right to host a quarterfinal with an 7-1-2 record for 23 points against A-10 competition. The Flyers, who were 13-3-2 overall, will see their first action of the championship at 7:00 pm ET on Friday, November 1 against No. 7 VCU, who closed out the regular season with a 4-8-5 overall mark and 3-2-5 in conference play.

Massachusetts garnered the third overall seed behind a 6-2-2 mark with 20 points in league competition and are 11-4-3 overall. The Flyers will host No. 6 Loyola Chicago (9-4-5, 4-2-4 / 16 points A-10) at 1:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 2 in the opening round.

Finally, Fordham will be the No. 4 overall seed behind a 5-2-3 record for 18 points within the A-10, and will square off against fifth overall Saint Joseph's who was 4-1-5 for 17 points in the A-10 and 8-3-7 overall. That quarterfinal game will be played at 7:00 pm ET on Friday, November 1.

Following the quarterfinal round, pairings will be re-seeded heading into the semifinals, which will be played on the campuses of the two highest remaining seeds on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The championship final will be played on the home field of the highest seed on Sunday, Nov. 5 at noon local time.

The winner of the Atlantic 10 Women’s Soccer Championship will receive the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
