NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –  VCU senior Jovana Vukcevic was selected as Atlantic 10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, while senior Alyna Draper and freshman Katrina Davis earned Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.  The awards are for matches played Nov 1-7.
 
Vukcevic averaged 5.57 kills and 1.57 digs per set, while hitting .425 in a pair of road wins this week. A native of Podgorica, Montenegro., Vukcevic posted 21 kills and hit .500 on 36 attempts in a sweep against Fordham. 

Draper, a native of Phoenix, averaged 6.29 digs per set in two wins, and topped 20 digs in both matches. This is the second A-10 Defensive Player of the Week honor this season for Draper.

Davis, a native of Leawood, Kan., recorded 39 assists, and added eight digs and a pair of kills.  She averaged 12.86 assists and 2.29 digs per set in a pair of VCU wins. This is the third A-10 Rookie of the Week honor this season for Davis.
