CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The third-seeded Minutewomen (17-4) rolled to a 4-0 victory over second seeded Richmond (12-7) in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday at Boar's Head Sports Club. 

The Minutewomen first took No. 3 doubles as Chanel Glasper and Anna Woosley defeated Emily Gitman and Gaby Rosales, 8-1. With a 7-2 lead on court one, Richmond's Melissa Kandinata and Anna Abadias rallied for three straight games, but eventually fell to Ana Yrazusta and Carol Benito, 8-5, at top doubles. 

In singles, UMass recorded first set wins on all six courts. Anna Woosley earned the second point of the match for the Minutewomen with a 6-3, 6-0 decision on court five. UM freshman, Yrazusta won at second singles, 6-0, 7-5, before Arielle Griffin clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 decision at No. 3 singles.

UMass will face top-seeded VCU in the Championship on Sunday at 10:00 am. The Minutewomen last appeared in the A-10 Championship in 2012, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Spiders, while VCU makes its third consecutive trip to Championship Sunday to defend back-to-back titles.
