WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference named Richmond sophomore Carson Baez and as the Under Armour Men’s Golfer of the Week. His freshman teammate Lucas Rizo Patron was selected as the Rookie of the Week. The awards were the week ending on Feb. 20.

Baez, a Davenport, Fla. Product, shattered the program record for lowest tournament by three strokes, carding an impressive 199 (68-65-66) to win medalist honors at the 119-player event. Baez won the Loyola Intercollegiate by four strokes, his first career win, leading Richmond to a tournament win, besting 19 other teams.

Rizo-Patron shot a 215 (74-72-69) to finish 38^th at the Loyola Intercollegiate. A native of Rye, N.Y., he help the Spiders shoot a 830 (280-276-274), the lowest team score in program history.
