WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference named Loyola Chicago junior Cassie Psuik as its Under Armour Women’s Golfer of the Week, while Richmond sophomore Carson Baez and VCU sophomore Tanner Cadieux were named men’s Co-Golfers of the Week. The awards were for the first weeks of the spring season, ending on Feb. 13.
Richmond freshman Addie Doroh collected the women’s Rookie of the Week, while the Spiders’ Lucas Rezo-Patron was the men’s Rookie of the Week.
Psuik led the Ramblers, shooting a 229 (75-73-81) to tie for 34
th in a field of 84
th. The Greenfield, Wisc., native ended with seven birdies this week, which was the team lead for the event
Doroh was the top Spider finisher at the Sea Best Invitational, recording a 221 (76-73-72) to place 13
th out of 66. The Charlottesville, Va. native helped UR to a fourth-place finish.
Baez, a Davenport, Fla., native, shot sixth-lowest tournament score in program history at the time and recorded his second career runner-up finish, carding a 206 (67-68-70) to place second out of 88.
Cadieux shot 7-under to earn medalist honors and lead VCU to its second straight tournament victory at the Bentwater Intercollegiate. The Greensboro, N.C., product fired a 206 (70-71-65).
Rizo-Patron placed 33
rd with a 217 (75-70-72). The Rye, N.Y., product helps Richmond finish fifth out of 14 teams and was the Spiders’ third highest finisher in the event
