ORLANDO, Fla. – The 2026 Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Championship continued on Wednesday with two first round matches at the USTA National Campus. Sixth-seeded Rhode Island matched up with eleventh-seeded George Mason, and No. 7 seed Saint Louis met No. 10 seed Saint Joseph’s.
Match 3: No. 7 Saint Louis def. No. 10 Saint Joseph’s, 4-0
The No. 7 seed Saint Louis Billikens blew past No. 10 seed Saint Joseph’s to close out Wednesday night’s first round of the A-10 Women’s Tennis Championship. Saint Louis narrowly won the doubles point, earning victories on Courts 1 and 3 as the Hawks won Court 2. In singles play, Emmerson White beat Saint Joseph’s Wiktoria Czerny 6-3, 6-1 at the top position as Fiorella Duran defeated Saint Joseph’s Valeria Casusol 6-0, 6-3 on Court 2. Naima Luthra clinched the match for the Billikens with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 win against Victoria Tracey at the No. 4 position.

The No. 5 seed George Washington Revolutionaries cruised past No. 12 St. Bonaventure 4-0 into the A-10 Women’s Tennis Championship Quarterfinals. The Revolutionaries won the doubles point with a 6-1 victory on Court 3 and 6-3 triumph on Court 1. Devika Manu expanded the lead with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kelly Barnes on Court 6, before Karen Verduzo took down St. Bonaventure’s Gabriella Blumberg 6-3, 6-1 on Court 5. Madison Lee clinched the match for GW with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Sienna Smith on Court 3.
