ORLANDO, Fla. – The 2026 Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Championship got underway on Wednesday with two first round matches at the USTA National Campus. Fifth-seeded George Washington matched up with twelfth-seeded St. Bonaventure, and No. 8 seed Dayton met No. 9 seed Duquesne.
Match 1: No. 5 George Washington def. No. 12 St. Bonaventure 4-0
The No. 5 seed George Washington Revolutionaries cruised past No. 12 St. Bonaventure 4-0 into the A-10 Women’s Tennis Championship Quarterfinals. The Revolutionaries won the doubles point with a 6-1 victory on Court 3 and 6-3 triumph on Court 1. Devika Manu expanded the lead with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kelly Barnes on Court 6, before Karen Verduzo took down St. Bonaventure’s Gabriella Blumberg 6-3, 6-1 on Court 5. Madison Lee clinched the match for GW with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Sienna Smith on Court 3.

The Dukes won the doubles point with a 6-2 victory on Court 1 and a 6-3 triumph on Court 2. Alexandra O’Brien kept the momentum going for the Dukes with a 7-5, 6-1 singles win over Montserrat Sierra at the No. 3 slot, followed by a Flyer victory from Haley Klein over Taisa Yakunina 6-4, 6-2 on Court 6. Natalie Osiecki tied it up for Dayton by defeating Mila Badics 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 on Court 1, before Kristen China took down Naomi Lalonde 6-4, 7-5 on Court 2 to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead. Baby Jordan clinched the match for Dayton with a 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2) victory over Jasa Roka.
