ORLANDO, Fla. – The 2026 Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Championship continued on Thursday with the first two quarterfinal matches at the USTA National Campus. Top-seeded Fordham matched up with eighth-seeded Dayton, and No. 4 seed Davidson met No. 5 seed George Washington.
Match 5: No. 1 Fordham def. No. 8 Dayton, 4-0
The top-seeded Fordham Rams earned a comfortable 4-0 win over No. 8 Dayton in the A-10 Women’s Tennis Championship Quarterfinals on Thursday evening. Fordham won the doubles point with a pair of 6-1 victories on Courts 2 and 3. Fordham’s Paola Dalmonico kept the momentum going with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Dayton’s Christian Chin at the top singles position, before Fordham’s Valerija Kargina defeated Montserrat Sierra 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 2 slot. Lilianna Chitamber closed out the match for Fordham on Court 4, taking down Mallory Hitchcock 6-3, 6-3.

The No. 4 seed Davidson Wildcats put together a dominant 4-0 win over No. 5 seed George Washington in Thursday’s A-10 Women’s Tennis Championship Quarterfinals. Davidson won a back-and-forth doubles point, rallying after dropping a match on Court 2. The Wildcats won 6-4 on Court 1 and 7-6 (3) on Court 3. Ellie Hammond put Davidson ahead 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Madison Lee at the No. 3 singles position and Charlotte Calderwood defeated George Washington’s Alexandra Lindqvist 6-3, 6-2 on position four shortly after. Olivia Hooper clinched the match for Davidson with a come-from-behind 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 triumph over Devika Manu on Court 6.
