ORLANDO, Fla. – The 2026 Atlantic 10 Men’s Tennis Championship continued Thursday morning with two Quarterfinal matches at the USTA National Campus. Top-seeded VCU matched up with ninth-seeded Davidson, and No. 4 seed George Mason met No. 5 seed Richmond.

Match 3: #1 VCU def. #9 Davidson, 4-1
The top-seeded VCU Rams cruised past No. 9 seed Davidson 4-1 on Thursday morning, advancing into the A-10 Men’s Tennis Semifinals. The Rams won the doubles point with a 6-4 victory on Court 2 and 7-5 win on Court 3. Davidson’s Connor Cole tied the match by beating Kostiantyn Mantach 6-0, 6-3 at position six singles, but VCU’s Mats Bredschneijder responded with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Kai Villagomez on Court 2. Rams freshman Patrik Petera defeated Charlie Ratliff 6-1, 6-1 on Court 5, before Alfred Almasi clinched the match for VCU with a 7-5, 6-0 triumph on Court 4.

The No. 5 seed Richmond Spiders advanced to the A-10 Men’s Tennis Championship Semifinals on Thursday with a 4-0 win over No. 4 seed George Mason. Richmond won the doubles point with victories on Courts 1 and 2. The Spiders won 6-3 at the top doubles position, before dropping position two 6-4 and clinching the point with a 6-4 win on Court 3. Richmond’s Cole Brashear cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win over Adria Franco Regue at the No. 6 singles slot as his teammate Dylan Atkinson won 6-4, 6-4 on Court 4. Otto Sewell closed the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win over George Mason’s Edgar Vilain on Court 5.
