WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 selected St. Bonaventure senior Brooke Piper as its Under Armour Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Rhode Island redshirt senior Casey Phelps as the Defensive Player of the Week. George Washington freshman Mia Milkowski earned Rookie of the Week honors. The league announced the awards on Monday for games played from April 13 – April 19.
 
Piper led the Bonnies to a 19-9 victory over La Salle with one of the league’s strongest offensive performances this season. The midfielder from Aurora, Ontario totaled 11 points – recording nine goals and two assists. Piper’s 11 nine goals marked the most in a single game by an A-10 women’s lacrosse player this year, earning her third Player of the Week honor of the spring.
 
Phelps protected the net in Rhode Island’s 13-5 win over George Mason on Saturday. The goalie from Olney, Md. made eight saves while allowing just five goals, earning a 61.5 percent save rate. The Rams close the regular season on Saturday, Apr. 25 against Saint Joseph’s.
 
Milkowski led the charge for George Washington in the team’s 19-8 win over Duquesne on Saturday. The attacker from Rumson, N.J. recorded a hat trick – scoring three goals – while tallying four assists in a seven-point performance. Holding George Washington’s program record for single-season points by a freshman, Milkowski has earned four A-10 Rookie of the Week awards in her first collegiate campaign.
