WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference tabbed St. Bonaventure senior Clay Peets and Saint Louis junior Emily Morden as its Under Armour Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Performers of the Week, respectively. Saint Louis freshman Ronnie Brown and St. Bonaventure freshman Jillian Lozo were named Men’s and Women’s Rookies of the Week. The awards, which were announced on Tuesday, are for competitions from September 22 to September 28. 

Peets, an Akron, OH native, came across the finish line with a new Bonaventure best at the Lock Haven Invitational. He claimed second overall in the 8K Crimson Race in the field of 209 competitors. Peets posted a time of 24:15.1, just over a second better than his previous program record mark set two years ago on this same course. 

Brown raced in the Gans Creek Classic for Saint Louis. He raced the 8K event in a time of 24:54.3 and finished 113th overall. Brown, an East Linton, Scotland native, was the second Billiken to cross the finish line. 

Morden placed eighth overall and was the Billikens’ top finisher at the Bradley Intercollegiate Championships. She crossed the line in 17:08.90 in the 3-mile race. Morden, a Timboon, Australia native, helped the Billikens to a second place showing in the meet. 

Lozo showed the way for St. Bonaventure at the Lock Haven Invitational. She posted a 6K time of 23:04.3, which ranks 11th in program history. Lozo has now paced the Bonnies in each of her first two collegiate meets. The East Amherst, N.Y. native placed 46th out of 182 competitors in the Crimson race at Saturday's meet.
