WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference selected Fordham sophomore Liina Tervo as the Under Armour Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Dayton senior Batoul Reda received her second Defensive Player of the Week honor. Saint Louis freshman Adee Broesder was named the Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Sep. 22-28.

Tervo led Fordham to a 2-0 week in conference play with home wins over Saint Joseph’s and Richmond, recording seven points on three goals and an assist. The forward from Tuusula, Finland posted two goals and an assist against the Hawks on Thursday to fuel a 4-1 victory, before scoring the game-winning goal of a 1-0 win over the Spiders on Sunday. Tervo’s four game winning goals this season are tied for the most in the A-10 and she now has won a pair of weekly conference accolades on the year.

Reda, continues to lead the Flyers’ defense from the keeper position, posting two more shutouts to bring Dayton’s season total to eight. The Dearborn, Mich. native stopped both shots she faced in Dayton’s 2-0 win over Loyola Chicago, before standing tall against the top scoring offense in the A-10 to thwart all five shots she faced against Duquesne in another 2-0 result. The Flyers have not allowed a goal in their last 400 minutes of play, one of the top shutout streaks in the nation.

Broesder, a forward from Lee’s Summit Mo., netted the game-winning goal in both of Saint Louis’ victories this week. The rookie’s 40^th minute score against VCU proved the difference in a 2-1 result, before snapping a 1-1 tie on Sunday with a late goal to lift the Billikens over George Washington 2-1.
