WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference selected Loyola Chicago redshirt sophomore Emily Rossi as the Under Armour Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Dayton senior Batoul Reda received Defensive Player of the Week honors for the third time this season. VCU freshman Isabelle Franklin was named the Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Oct. 13 - Oct. 19.

Rossi recorded six total points in a two-win week for the Ramblers, tallying three goals across two matches. The forward from Glen Ellyn, Ill. netted the game-winner in Loyola’s 2-1 comeback victory at Duquesne on Thursday, her first goal of the season. She kept the momentum going in the Ramblers’ 4-1 win over VCU on Sunday, scoring the equalizer on a set piece before recording the game-winner soon after.

Reda posted yet another two-shutout week, propelling Dayton to a pair of crucial wins. The goalkeeper from Dearborn, Mich. made eight saves in the Flyers’ 2-0 win over Saint Louis on Thursday, snapping the Billikens 48-match home winning streak in the process. She added her 12th clean sheet of the season on Sunday in a 6-0 win against St. Bonaventure.

Franklin helped lift VCU to a 2-1 win against crosstown rival Richmond on Thursday, contributing the game-winning assist. With the match tied 1-1 in the second half, the forward from Fort Meade, Md. found teammate Jensyn Lins at the edge of the penalty box to set up the crucial score.
