WASHINGTON – Fordham junior Nevena Kolarevic was honored as the Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Most Outstanding Performer, while Rhode Island freshman Katharina Spieth was named Most Outstanding Rookie. VCU head coach Rifa Kahfiani received Coach of the Year, the league announced on Monday.

The three major awards as well as the All-Conference teams were voted on by the A-10 women’s tennis head coaches. The All-Academic team was chosen by the league’s communications directors.

Kolarevic, a Belgrade, Serbia native, went undefeated in the spring with a 13-0 record in singles and 9-0 in A-10 competition. She played nearly all singles and doubles matches at the No. 1 spot. Kolarevic claimed the Fall A-10 Doubles Championship alongside her teammate Julianne Nguyen. The duo earned an ITA National Doubles ranking of 109. A two-time A-10 Player of the Week, she went 11-5 in doubles and 5-2 amongst the conference.

Spieth, a native of Stuttgart, Germany, posted a 12-2 record at No. 1 singles during the spring season. She went 3-1 in the conference with three unfinished matches. Spieth, a four-time A-10 Rookie of the Week, compiled a 19-7 overall record and made the semifinals of the A-10 Conference fall individual tournament. She qualified for the round of 64 at the ITA Regionals. Spieth helped Rhode Island to its second-best season in program history, while playing on court one in singles and doubles.

In her first season as interim head coach, Kahfiani led VCU to the 2025 A-10 Women’s Tennis Championship title. Under Kahfiani, the fifth-seeded Rams defeated the third-seeded Richmond Spiders. A former ITA pro and Oregon Duck, she guided VCU to a 14-11 record and 3-2 mark in the A-10.
