Richmond Goes Undefeated in #A10MLAX Regular Season, Earns Top Seed in Championship

WASHINGTON — Richmond men’s lacrosse went an undefeated 5-0 in conference play to claim it's first ever Atlantic 10 Conference regular season title and will serve as the No. 1 overall seed for the A-10 Men’s Lacrosse Championship. The championship begins Thursday and concludes Saturday at Sweeney Field in Philadelphia, Pa. 
 
Ranked 10th nationally in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and 11th in the USILA Coaches Poll, Richmond concluded the season with a perfect 5-0 mark in league play and 11-3 overall with four wins over ranked teams, including No. 7 Virginia and No. 13 Georgetown. Lucas Littlejohn and Aidan O'Neil pace the Spider offense with 46 and 43 points respectively, while the defense hasn't allowed more than seven goals in a single conference game.
 
Richmond will open the championship against fourth-seeded Massachusetts in the first semifinal, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. UMass is led by Trace Hogan who leads the Minutemen with 58 points this season. Massachusetts is 9-5 overall and secured the fourth seed with a 2-3 record.
 
High Point earned its highest ever seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship, earning the two seed at 3-2 in Atlantic 10 competition with an 6-8 mark overall. The Panthers are led by Justin Wixted and Owen Bunten, who each have 35+ points. High Point will open the championship against No. 3 Saint Joseph's at 2:00 pm on Thursday.

The Hawks will host this Championship as the No. 3 seed and No. 17 team in the nation at 9-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Saint Joseph's has a win over No. 17 Penn and RV Rutgers on the season and are led by the duo of Richie LaCalandra (50 points) and Ben Dutton (49 points). The Hawks won last year's Atlantic 10 Championship, defeating Richmond in the title game. 
 
Thursday’s semifinal winners will meet Saturday at 12:00 pm for the A-10 Championship game. The winner of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Men’s Lacrosse Championship will earn the Atlantic 10’s automatic bid and advance to the NCAA Tournament.
 
Tickets for the championship are available through the Saint Joseph's ticket office. All three games of the A-10 Men’s Lacrosse Championship will be broadcast on ESPN+.
