WASHINGTON – VCU has been selected to eight-peat as Atlantic 10 Champions in the 2025 Preseason Men’s Tennis Poll, which was released Wednesday by the league. The A-10 also announced the 12-member Preseason All-Conference Team.
The Rams collected 98 poll points and eight of the 10 first place votes. VCU is led by Preseason All-Conference selection German Samofalov.
Dayton was chosen second in the Preseason Poll and earned 92 points and two first place votes. The duo of Kyle McNally and Mikkel Zinder, both Preseason All-Conference choices, lead the Flyers.
Led by the duo of Preseason All-Conference selections Cole Brashear and Davis Wiley, Richmond was selected third with 77 points. Davidson was chosen fourth with 70 points. The Wildcats also have two Preseason selections, Juan Camilo Perez Gongora and Uddayvir Singh.
George Mason rounds out the top half of the poll at fifth with 51 points. The Patriots are led by Preseason nods Ekansh Kumar and Monil Lotlikar. Saint Louis is slotted at sixth with 46 points. The Billikens are led by Andres Castellanos, a Preseason All-Conference selection.
Duquesne comes in at seventh with 39 votes. Saint Joseph's, with a pair of Preseason selections in Justus Agbo and Othmann Bezzaz were chosen eighth. Rounding out the poll are Fordham (24) and St. Bonaventure (20).
The 2025 Championship will be contested April 23-26 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
