Massachusetts Selected to Repeat as Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Champions; 12 Players Recognized as Preseason All-Conference

WASHINGTON – Massachusetts has been selected as the preseason favorite in the 2025 Atlantic 10 Preseason Women’s Tennis Poll, which was released Wednesday by the league. The A-10 also announced the 12-member Preseason All-Conference Team.
 
The Minutewomen collected 160 poll points and six first-place votes after winning their first A-10 Championship since 2017 last season. Two UMass players, Ella Faessler and Belle Jonglertrakul were selected to the All-Conference team.

Richmond was selected second with 153 points and three first place votes, with Sofia Barbulescu and Andrea Campodonico picked for the All-Conference team. In-town rival VCU also had three first place votes, securing 141 points for third on the Preseason Poll. Rams stars Isabel Andrade, Mariam Ibrahim and Liza Karlova earned a spot on the Preseason All-Conference team.

Fordham came in at fourth in the Preseason Poll with 137 points and one first place votes. The Rams are led by Preseason All-Conference selection Nevena Kolarevic. Led by a pair of All-Conference honorees Kavya Patel and Daniela Porges, Davidson was chosen fifth in the Preseason Poll with 112 points George Washington was slotted sixth with 97 points. 

Rhode Island slots in at seventh with 96 points. Katharina Spieth was selected for the All-Conference Team. In eighth are the Dayton Flyers with 72 points, led by the final All-Conference sleection, Natalie Osiecki. 

Duquesne and Saint Louis tied for ninth in the poll with 67 points. Closing it out are St. Bonaventure (30), George Mason (27) and Saint Joseph's (24). 

The poll was conducted through a vote of the leagues women’s tennis head coaches.
 
The 2025 Championship will be contested April 24-27 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
