Flyers Soar Into A-10 Men's Tennis Championship Final

ORLANDO, Fla. - The third-seeded Flyers will make their third-straight appearance in the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship final after defeating No. 2 Richmond, 4-0, on Saturday morning at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. Dayton will once again face the top-seeded VCU Rams for the title on Sunday morning at 10:00 am.

Dayton earned the competitive doubles point, first getting a victory at No. 1 as the pair of Connor Bruce and Matt DeMarco dispatched Cole Brashear and Davis Wiley, 6-3. The Spiders countered on court two, evening the score behind Sebastian Miano and Daniel Kliebhan's 6-4 victory. The Flyers sealed the point with a 6-4 decision at court three by Nikola Puric and Eric Suk.

With a 1-0 lead heading into singles action, the Flyers went up a set on courts one, three, four and five, while the Spiders started off strong on courts two and six. Dayton's Mikkel Zinder and Luis Saraiva took second sets in quick succession at No. 4 and 5 singles, respectively, to put Dayton up 3-0 in the match. The clinching point came from court three as Kyle McNally earned a 6-4, 6-4 victory and the team's fourth point to send the Flyers into their second straight A-10 finals.

This is the fourth appearance in the A-10 finals in the last 10 years for the Flyers, all coming against the Rams.
