NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Dayton senior Diana Benigno and St. Bonaventure sophomore Ami Komori it's Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week. Massachusetts senior Bella Mendoza was named Defensive Player of the Week, while Duquesne freshman Anna Bundy earned Rookie of the Week. The awards, announced Monday, are for games played Sept. 18-24.

Benigno, a Beavercreek, Ohio, native tallied her Atlantic 10-leading sixth assist of the campaign when she burned past multiple defenders and crossed a perfect pass to fellow senior Madison Wilson in Dayton's 3-0 victory against Davidson. The midfielder then tallied the Flyers’ equalizer on the road at Saint Louis, giving UD a crucial road point in the draw.

Hailing from Otsu, Japan, Komori netted a hat trick in the Bonnies 3-1 win at Fordham, lifting the team to a 2-0-1 start in A-10 play. In just 72 minutes of play against the Rams, the forward picked up her fourth, fifth and sixth tallies of the season, putting her in a tie for most goals in the league. Komori also played 68 minutes in the Bonnies game against Duquesne, recording two shots.

Mendoza recorded two complete shutouts last week, earning a 1-0 victory over VCU and a 5-0 decision at Davidson. Playing all 180 minutes in net, the goalie from San Ramon, Calif., registered a 0.00 goals-against-average and a 1.000 save percentage. She turned aside 13 total saves, including a season-best seven against VCU. She earned her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season.

Bundy, a rookie from Wexford, Pa., scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Rhode Island, securing the first of two road A-10 victories for the Dukes. In the 84th minute, Margey Brown received a long ball, made a defender fall, and fired a pass into the penalty box where Bundy tapped it in for her second goal of the season and the victory.
