NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –  Saint Joseph’s saw Manu Ghigliotti take home Offensive Player of the Week and Anna Miller take Defensive Player of the Week. Rookie of the Week went to Mali Herberhold of Massachusetts. The weekly awards were for games played from Sept. 19 to Sept. 25.

Ghigliotti, the junior forward out of Malvinas, Argetina, led the Hawks with five points this weekend after assisting on the opener while also scoring a key insurance goal in SJU's 2-0 league win over Lock Haven on Friday. Then on Sunday, she opened the scoring late in the first quarter as the Hawks routed Delaware. 

Hawks’ senior back Miller was a part of an outstanding defensive effort this weekend against Lock Haven and Delaware. The Hawks held Lock Haven without a shot and kept the Bald Eagles out of the circle almost entirely en route to a 2-0 win. Then on Sunday, the Hawks kept Delaware off the scoreboard while defending six penalty corners in the process.

Massachusetts freshman, Herberhold, has won her third A-10 Rookie of the Week award after registering five points across three wins for the Minutewomen. She totaled two assists versus Boston University (3-1), one assist versus Davidson (2-1 OT), and one goal versus Columbia (3-1).
