ORLANDO, Fla. – Top seeded VCU defeated No. 3 Dayton 4-0, in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship at the USTA National Campus on Sunday. The Rams secured their fifth Championship title in a row, and sixth overall since joining the Atlantic 10. 

VCU took the opening point with victories at No. 3 and No. 2 doubles to start the match. Joaquim Almeida and Matisse Babichon finished first with a win at No. 3 doubles, 6-1, over Joe DeMarco and Ronit Hiryur. Inigo Torre Martin and Rayane Stable then sealed the deal at the No. 2 court over Steven Karl and Matt DeMarco, winning 6-1 to clinch the doubles point.  

Rayane Stable kicked off singles play for the Rams with a victory at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1 over Eric Perkowski. Inigo Torre Martin defeated Will Harper at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-4. Teammate Matisse Bobichon quickly followed suit with a win at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 7-5 over Matt DeMarco. 

With their win, the Rams earn the Atlantic 10 Automatic Qualifer to the NCAA Team Championship, with seedings set to be announced on Monday, May 2 via NCAA.com.
