CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- George Washington secured its first Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country title Saturday at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio. George Mason’s Annabelle Eastman was the women’s individual champion at 17:24.6.
The Colonials were led by Margaret Coogan, finishing second with a time of 17:31.7, followed by Peri Pavicic in sixth place with a time of 17:55.1. Kathryn Nohilly finished 10th with a time of 18:13.5. Olivia Syftestad, who earned Co-Most Outstanding Rookie, placed 15th overall with a time of 18:19.3. George Washington finished with a total of 50 points.
Colonials coach Terry Weir was named A-10 Coach of the Year for leading GW to its first-ever title.
Dayton finished second with 75 points, led by Emily Sreenan, who came in seventh with a time of 17:58.3, and Melissa Weidner who placed 14th (18:17.5). The Flyers' Hannah Moulton placed 20th with a time of 18:35.3 to earn Co-Most Outstanding Rookie honors.
The Minutewomen placed third with 105 points, followed by Richmond in fourth with 107 points, and George Mason rounded out the top five with 113 points.
The Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team consists of the top-15 runners, Eastman (17:24.6), Coogan (17:31.7), Eleanor Mancini of La Salle (17:32.1), Elizabeth Mancini of La Salle (17:41.6), Julia Jelagat of Saint Louis (17:49.9), Pacicic (17:55.1), Sreenan (17:58.3), Elizabeth Stockman (18:01.2), Sarah Conant of Massachusetts (18:08.8), Kathryn Nohilly of George Washington (18:13.5), Nohilly (18:31.5), Christine Mancini of La Salle ( 18:15.7), Lily Robinson of Massachusetts (18:15.8), Sarah Francis of George Mason (18:16.0), Melissa Weidner of Dayton (18:17.5), and Syfestad (18:19.3).
