WASHINGTON –- The Loyola Chicago Ramblers were voted the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Cross Country preseason favorites, the league announced on Friday. The preseason poll was voted on by the 14 league coaches.  
 
Loyola Chicago was the unanimous favorite, receiving all 14 first-place votes after claiming the A10 championship title last season. The Ramblers are seeking their fourth title in five seasons and are looking to go back-to-back after doing so in 2022 and 2023.
 
George Mason and La Salle were tied for second in the preseason poll after receiving 157 points each. Both programs had a runner finish in the top ten at the Championships in 2025.
 
Saint Joseph’s was right behind the Patriots and Explorers, coming in fourth with 150 points. Returning seniors Gavin Mogck and Michael Glavin come in 11th and 12th, respectively, last season and will look to anchor the Hawks once more this year.
George Washington comes in fifth with 126 points and will look to replace last season’s A10 first-place finisher in Michael Bohlke. Saint Louis (113), Dayton (97), Richmond (84), and Fordham (76) round out the top ten.
 
Just outside the top ten sit Davidson (68), Duquesne (56), and tied at 13th, St. Bonaventure and VCU (22).  
 
The men’s cross-country season kicks off on Friday, September 4. The A-10 Men’s Cross-Country Championship is slated for Saturday, October 31 at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Virginia and will be hosted by Richmond.
