Complete Lane Assignments
KINGSTON, R.I. – The race times for the first day of the 2018 NCAA Rowing have been adjusted, and Rhode Island's boats will hit the water a little earlier in the morning Friday.
The Varsity 8+ boat will take the water at 9:06 a.m. at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. Rhody's top boat, seeded No. 21 in the 22-team championship field – will be in the sixth lane of Varsity 8+ Heat 4, going against No. 20 UCF, No. 12 Wisconsin, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Ohio State and No. 13 Brown.
In the Second Varsity 8+ flight, Rhode Island will be in Lane 1 of Heat 3, a race now scheduled to go off at 9:30 a.m. The 2V8+ boat was seeded No. 19 in its flight and will go against No. 11 Princeton, No. 3 Virginia, No. 6 Texas, No. 14 Indiana and No. 22 Jacksonville.
Rhode Island is the No. 21 seed in the Varsity 4+ flight and will race from Lane 6 in Heat 4. The V4+ boat will be up against No. 20 Northeastern, No. 12 Washington State, No. 4 Virginia, No. 5 Texas and No. 13 Princeton. That race is scheduled for 10:10 a.m.
All teams will have a second round of racing Friday afternoon. Results in the morning heats will determine lane assignments for the Repechage round.
