WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - On a day plagued by inclement weather, Rhode Island saw each of its three boats qualify for the D Final at the NCAA Women's Rowing Championship Saturday.

Rain and wind caused choppy water conditions caused a long delay for the Division I races on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. Initially scheduled for early Saturday morning, Rhode Island's racing did not begin until 6 p.m. Saturday night.

VARSITY 8+
Rhode Island's team of stroke Hailey Pardi, Bella Bruno, Bethany Nordstrom, Nora Lake, Amanda Cubit, Emma Barnhart, Abigail Galyda, Brigid McShea and coxswain Ellie McGee posted a time of 6:40.637. URI placed fifth out of five boats in the semifinal. UCF won the heat in 6:18.899, followed by Oregon State and Harvard. 

Rhode Island will compete against Northeastern, Boston University and Fairfield in Sunday's D Final. The V8+ fourth final will determine spots 19-22 in the flight standings.

SECOND VARSITY 8+
The Second Varsity 8+ boat of stroke Jasmyn Hayes, Emma Larsh, Irma Accius, Emma Brookins, Liz Mayer, Sage Sabatino, Maddy Papik, Payton Klein and coxswain Evelyn Tabor finished in a time of 6:54.238. Rutgers won the heat with a time of 6:24.744, just ahead of Dartmouth and Northeastern.

Rhode Island will compete against Fairfield, Oregon State and Boston University to determine places 19-22 on Sunday.

VARSITY 4+
The Varsity 4+ team of Maia Hembruff, Anna Smith, Costanza Proietti, Ava Hohl and coxswain Lily Stasaitis posted a time of 7:59.271. Virginia (7:10.567) was first across the line, beating Penn by three seconds. Boston University edged Dartmouth by .376 seconds to claim the third spot.

Rhode Island will compete against Northeastern, Dartmouth and Fairfield Sunday. The V4+ fourth final will determine spots 19-22 in the flight standings.
