KINGSTON, R.I. – The Rhode Island women's rowing team was announced Tuesday evening as part of the 22-team field that will compete at the NCAA Championship later this month.
Team members and coaches gathered in the Katie Decubellis Memorial Foundation Academic Commons to watch the live stream of the NCAA selection show. The Rams earned one of the field's 11 automatic bids by winning the fourth Atlantic 10 Championship in program history on May 8.

Shelagh Donohoe was named the 2016 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year, the fourth time in 10 seasons she has won the honor. Seniors
Lily Herberger,
Marisa Landry and
Leah McGlynn all earned A-10 First Team All-Conference honors, while senior
Alissa Margraf (Cherry Hill, N.J.) was a Second Team selection.
Rhode Island – ranked No. 6 in the last three NCAA Region I poll for three consecutive polls – will head to Gold River, Calif. to the at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center, host of the NCAA Championship. The three-day event runs May 27-29.
