5/26/2026 3:00:00 PM

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference named 37 student-athletes to its Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field All-Rookie team and 21 student-athletes to its Men’s and Women’s OT&F All-Academic teams. The recognition, which was announced on Tuesday, highlights student-athletes for both their academic and athletic contributions.

The All-Rookie teams honor rookie-eligible student-athletes who hold the fastest time or top distance in the conference for each event, from the beginning of the season through the conference championship. Rookie-eligible student-athletes are individuals who competed in their first year of outdoor track and field.

Eligible student-athletes for the All-Academic teams are individuals who are at least a sophomore and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). The All-Academic teams are selected by the league’s track and field communications directors.

Rhode Island’s Matt Santy and George Mason’s Abby Weening, the Most Outstanding Field Performers at the A-10 Outdoor Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Championships, both received All-Academic accolades. Dayton freshman Simone Bessong, the Most Outstanding Rookie at the women’s outdoor championship, earned All-Rookie honors.

VCU freshman Presten Augustin, the Most Outstanding Rookie at the men’s outdoor championship, was also named to the All-Rookie team. Augustin held the conference’s top time in the 400-meter hurdles (51.49) and best among freshmen in the 110 meter hurdles (13.87).
