WASHINGTON – Saint Louis sophomore Sam Lamaze and Rhode Island graduate student Matt Santy were named Atlantic 10 Men’s Indoor Track and Field Performers of the Week, respectively. Santy’s freshman teammate Miles Lipka was tabbed as Men’s Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Dayton senior Jadyn Haywood and George Mason graduate student Kennedy Drish earned Women’s Track and Field Performers of the Week, respectively. VCU freshman Aubree Harris collected Women’s Rookie of the Week. The awards are for competitions from Feb. 2 – 8.

Lamaze, a New York, NY native, won the 400M at the Missouri Invitational, crossing the line in 47.34. Lamaze matched his own Saint Louis program record and holds the fastest 400M time in the A-10 this season.

At the IC4A Indoor Championship, Santy won a pair of individual titles. The Enfield, Conn. native won the high jump (2.16m) and long jump (7.56m), guiding the Rams to their third straight IC4A crown. Santy set URI’s program record for the long jump, which is also the top mark in the conference this season. Santy’s high jump mark also sits atop the A-10.

At the IC4A Indoor Championship, Lipka won the heptathlon with 5,235 points. The Northborough, MA native has the third best heptathlon score in the A-10.

Haywood, a Dayton, OH native, won two individual events at the Fairgrounds Invitational. She won the 60M event in 7.42, a personal best that improves her to second in Dayton program history and the top time in the A-10. Haywood finished atop the podium once in the 200M. She ran 23.96 to break her own 200M Flyers school record and improved her conference-leading time.

Drish earned her third win of the indoor season at the Penn Classic. She won the pole vault event with a personal-best height of 4.26M, which ranks first in the conference. The Fisher, IN native, ranks 32nd in the nation.

Harris, a Manassas, VA native, set a personal record in the 60M Hurdles at the Winter Relays. She finished second at 8.52 and holds the fastest mark in the A-10.
