SAINT LOUIS – No. 1 Saint Louis defeated No. 8 Fordham, 5-0, Saturday night in the Betterment #A10WSOC tournament. The win advances Saint Louis to the semifinals, where they will take on the winner of Rhode Island and George Mason.

This contest was all Billikens from the start, as they scored three goals in the first 15 minutes. The first goal came just two minutes into the match, when Caroline Fowlkes delivered a perfect leading pass to Audrey Smith, who got behind the Fordham defense and found the soft spot for the opening tally.

The next goal came just minutes after that, when Saint Louis was able to convert on a corner kick via an Ashley Miller header.

Hope Kim then put the exclamation point on the scoring run, putting a move on a defender and delivering a strike with her left foot to put the Billikens up three early.

The second half saw the scoring continue for Saint Louis, as Adee Broesder and Keira Bartholet added the fourth and fifth goals of the match in the 68t and 79th minutes.

The Billikens offense was the main cause of concern for the Rams, as Saint Louis outshot the Rams 24 to 12, with 13 on goal.
