WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced its weekly honors in women’s soccer. The awards are for games played from October 5 - October 11.
Offensive Players of the Week: Lily Camacho (Sr., Scotch Plains, N.J.), Rhode Island; Justyce Hollenbach (Gr., Harrisburg, Pa.), La Salle
Defensive Player of the Week: Jasmine Black (So., Sydney Australia), George Washington
Rookie of the Week: Sophia Michel (Fr., Bowie, Md), George Washington
The first Co-Offensive Player of the Week selections for 2026 women’s soccer,
Lily Camacho and
Justyce Hollenbach were both too good to be denied. Rhode Island’s Camacho was instrumental in the Rams’ 2-0-0 week. Camacho scored the game-winning goal in both contests, finding the net with less than eight minutes remaining to secure the victory over Davidson before hitting the deciding goal against St. Bonaventure days later. The Rams are on a five-game unbeaten streak thanks to Camacho’s efforts.
Justyce Hollenbach was crucial to the Explorers’ success as well. Hollenbach’s squad also enjoyed a 2-0-0 week, largely in part to her three goals against Richmond and VCU. Hollenbach scored the game-winner against Richmond to hand the Spiders their second straight loss. She then opened the scoring against VCU with a brace to give the Explorers a quick 2-0 lead, leading to a 5-2 victory. Hollenbach tops the A10 in goals with ten, helping La Salle to a second-place ranking thus far.
Jasmine Black did all she could to help George Washington secure four conference points this past week. The sophomore netminder pitched a four-save shutout against George Mason to give the Revs their first conference win of the year. Black then followed that with a career-best 12 save performance against Dayton to help earn a point in a 1-1 draw. Black ranks sixth in the conference in saves with 50.
George Washington’s
Sophia Michel was also a big reason why the Revolutionaries landed four points this week. Michel single-handedly lifted George Washington to a Senior Day win over George Mason, tallying both of GW's goals in the 2-0 win. She now has seven goals on the year, with five of them coming in conference play.
