WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships begin on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Elvin R. King Cross Country Course hosted by the University of Dayton. The 37th annual cross country championship starts with the men’s race at 10 a.m. ET followed by the women’s race at 10:50 a.m. ET. 
For the third time in league history, the women will compete in a 6K course. The men will race in an 8K event.  
Five A-10 men’s teams were ranked in the latest NCAA Division I United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings. No.7 Saint Joseph’s, No.12 George Washington and No. 13 La Salle were ranked in the Men’s Mid-Atlantic region. No.4 Loyola Chicago was ranked in the Men’s Midwest Region. No. 15 Rhode Island was ranked in the Men’s Northeast Region. 
Loyola Chicago was the preseason favorite to win the A-10 Men’s Championship in the preseason poll. Loyola was the runner-up at last year’s championship. Loyola is seeking its third conference title in its fourth season in the league. The Ramblers received the program’s first ever national ranking after earning No. 30 on the USTFCCCA’s NCAA Division I National Coaches’ Poll in October. 
Two runners who finished in the top 10 at last year’s tournament return for this season, George Washington’s Michael Bohlke and Rhode Island’s Garrett Hartline. Bohlke finished eighth at the 2024 championship in 24:13.1, and Hartline placed tenth in 24:18.7. The 2024 Most Outstanding Rookie and George Mason sophomore Tarek Benlamkaddem also returns.  
Three women’s teams were ranked in USTFCCCA’s latest rankings: No. 8 George Washington and No. 11 La Salle in the Women’s Mid-Atlantic Region, and No. 12 Loyola Chicago in the Women’s Midwest Region.   
The Ramblers were projected to win the A-10 Women’s Cross Country Championship in the preseason poll. Last season, the Ramblers clinched their third consecutive championship. Roisin Treacy is Loyola Chicago’s lone returner who placed in the top 10 of last year’s championship.  
Including Treacy, La Salle’s Gwenno Goode and George Mason’s Ella Semple return from last year’s top 10 individual finishers. Goode won the 2024 individual title in a time of 20:10.4, and Semple placed tenth in a time of 21:01.0. Treacy finished seventh in a time of 20:45.5.
