WASHINGTON — Dayton secured the program’s first Atlantic 10 Conference women’s soccer regular season title since 2013, clinching the No. 1 overall seed ahead of next week’s A-10 Championship. The eight-team, single-elimination tournament begins Friday, Oct. 31 with on-campus quarterfinal action. Every game of the 2025 championship will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Flyers finished the 2025 regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in A-10 play, their first season without a conference loss or tie since 2004. Posting an overall mark of 13-3-2, Dayton closed the regular season on an 11-match win streak dating back to Sep. 7. Dayton is also the first A-10 program to go 10-0 in conference play since 2022.
As the top seed in the A-10 Women’s Soccer Championship, Dayton will host No. 8 La Salle to open championship play on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Explorers finished the regular season with a 7-7-3 overall record, going 4-4-2 in conference play.
Saint Louis played Loyola Chicago to a scoreless draw on Sunday, closing the season with a 13-3-2 record and an 8-1-1 conference mark to secure the No. 2 seed. Searching for the program’s eighth consecutive A-10 Championship title, Saint Louis will host No. 7 Loyola Chicago in an immediate rematch on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The Ramblers produced a 4-2-4 league record, earning at least one point from each of their last seven matches.
Duquesne clinched the No. 3 seed in the A-10 Championship with a 4-2 victory over La Salle on Sunday. The Dukes went 12-5-1 during the regular season, posting a 7-3 mark in conference play. Duquesne will host No. 6 Fordham at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 1. Fordham earned a 4-0 victory over George Washington on Sunday, capping the regular season with a 10-6-2 overall record, 5-4-1 in the Atlantic 10.
Rhode Island’s17 conference points gave the Rams the No. 4 seed. Boosted by a strong defense, Rhode Island closed the regular season with an 5-3-2 league record, going 11-5-2 overall. Rhode Island will host No. 5 VCU on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET. VCU finished the regular season with a 7-9-3 overall record, going 5-4-1 in A-10 play and earning the No. 5 seed in a three-team tiebreaker with Fordham and Loyola Chicago.
Following the quarterfinal round, pairings will be re-seeded heading into the semifinals, which will be played on the campuses of the two highest remaining seeds on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The championship final will be played on the home field of the highest seed on Sunday, Nov. 9 at noon local time.
The winner of the Atlantic 10 Women’s Soccer Championship will receive the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
