CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Davidson's Will Davis concluded the 2024 NCAA Chapel Hill Men's Golf Regional with his second consecutive sub-par round, signing for a two-under 68 Wednesday to finish the 54-hole event at 213 (+3).

The three-day postseason tournament hosted by the University of North Carolina was played on the Par 70, 7,084-yard UNC Finley Golf Course.

Davis, who was three-over following a bogey on the Par 5 sixth hole, played his final 12 holes in five-under, highlighted by an eagle on the 17th, his second in as many rounds.

A two-time all-conference performer, Davis fired a one-under 69 on his second 18, which he completed early Tuesday after play was halted the night before due to darkness. Unlike most of the 75 competitors in the field, Davis did not begin his final round until Wednesday as play was suspended due to rain at 11:47 a.m. Tuesday.

With rain in the forecast, tournament officials made the decision Sunday afternoon to play as many holes as possible Monday in order to complete the entire 54 holes by Wednesday.

Ranked 179th entering the event, Davis concludes his junior campaign with a 70.54 stroke average, a school-record 24 sub-par rounds, an individual title and four top-5 showings.

Davis joins Jack Lang (2017, 2019), Richard Fountain (2011, 2013, 2014), Rusty Boyd (1973) and Mike Spann (1967-69) as the only Wildcats to participate in the NCAA Regional as an individual competitor.

Named A-10 Rookie of the Year in 2022, Davis has competed in the last three NCAA Regionals (Palm Beach Gardens & Las Vegas) as a result of Davidson's automatic bids as conference champions in 2023 and 2024.

Clemson (-25) captured the Regional title by a shot over East Tennessee State, which held the overnight lead. The host Tar Heels (-20), Georgia Tech (-17) and Baylor (-15) also advance the 2024 National Championships hosted by the University of Texas at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa May 24-29.
