Saint Louis Sweeps Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Honors

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference named Saint Louis junior Ethan Bryant as its Men’s Track Performer of the Week and his junior teammate Tristan Boatman as its Field Performer of the Week. Billikens freshman Brock Waugh was tabbed as Rookie of the Week. Saint Louis junior Patricia O’Neill and her senior teammate Journey Amundson earned Women’s Track Performer of the Week and Field Performer of the Week, respectively. SLU freshman Tania Amos earned Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced on Tuesday and are for competitions from Dec. 10 – 16.
 
Bryant, an Alexandria, Va. native, ran a personal record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Indiana Early Bird Meet. He finished third at 8.30, which is the best time in the Atlantic 10 this season. Bryant also competed in the 60m and ran a leg on the Billikens’ 4x400m relay team.
 
Boatman earned a school record in the shot put for the Billikens. His 16.09m mark is a SLU program record and is the best mark in the A-10 this season. Boatman, a Dandridge, Tenn. native, finished ninth in the event. He also finished second in the weight throw with an 18.59m mark, which is second best in the conference.
 
Waugh raced to a personal record of 8:18.47 in the 3,000m event. Waugh, a Gold Coast, Australia native placed in third in the event. His time of 8:18.47 is second best in the A-10 so far this season.
 
O’Neill competed in the 200m, 400m and was a member of the 4x400m relay for Saint Louis. She placed in sixth in the 400m with a time of 58.68, which is fifth overall in the A-10. O’Neill, a Shaker Heights, Ohio native, placed 13th in the 200m with a time of 26.27. She also ran the first leg of Saint Louis’ 4x400m relay team, which placed fourth.  
 
Amundson broke a pair of Billikens school records at the Indiana Early Bird. She set SLU’s record in the long jump at 6.03, which was previously set by Brittney Cloudy in 2012. Amundson also set a SLU record in the triple jump at 12.50m. She earned first place in both events. Amundson, an Iron River, Wisc. native, ranks first and second in the A-10 in the triple jump and long jump, respectively. Her triple jump mark is 14th in Division I and her long jump mark is tied for 16th in the nation.
 
Amos, a Dallas, Tx. native, competed in the shot put for the Billikens. She placed seventh with a distance of 11.92m. Her shot put mark is seventh best in the conference this season.
