WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its Men’s and Women’s Cross Country All-Academic and All-Rookie Teams on Thursday. The All-Rookie team consists of the top seven men’s and women’s freshman finishers at the A-10 Cross Country Championship, and the All-Academic team is selected by the league’s cross country communication directors.
The men’s All-Academic Team was led by La Salle junior MacCallum Rowe, who was the individual champion at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship. He was joined by Massachusetts runners Bobby Carew, Collin Catherwood, Liam Ouellette, Michael Norberg and Loyola Chicago senior James Lawrence.
The men’s All-Rookie Team was led by 2024 Most Outstanding Rookie Tarek Benlamkaddem of George Mason. Belamkaddem’s teammate Biruk Beardsley was also named to the All-Rookie team followed by Charles Mbuthia of George Washington, Callum Murray of La Salle, Matt Hill of La Salle, Jack Bolling of Saint Joseph’s and Manny Vela of Saint Louis.
Women’s All-Academic included La Salle sophomore Gwenno Goode, who was the women individual winner of the A-10 Conference Championship. Goode was joined by teammate Helene Usher, Haley Hamilton of Duquesne, Delia McDade-Clay of Loyola Chicago, Emma Watcke of Loyola Chicago and Sofia Piccone of Rhode Island.
The women’s All-Rookie team featured the 2024 Women’s Most Outstanding Rookie Maisie Burns. Burns was joined by Amelia Ogawa of George Washington, Amelia Green of La Salle, Daphne Dornic of Loyola Chicago, Kaylie Dalgar of Massachusetts, Klara Hansen of Massachusetts and Emery Mayfield of Saint Louis.
