DAYTON, Ohio -- In the 86th minute with the score deadlocked at zero, freshman forward Andrew Armstrong headed the biggest goal of his career to lift the No. 2 seeded Dayton Flyers past No. 7 Davidson, 1-0 to advance to the Atlantic 10 Semifinals.

Dayton, currently ranked No. 5 in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, will play in their third-straight semifinal on Wednesday evening in Dayton against the highest remaining seed that is seeded lower than them. The Flyers have now won six games in a row, outscoring their opponents, 19-4.

The game was tied at zero for 86 minutes largely because of Davidson goalkeeper Lucas Beltran who made nine saves to keep the high powered Dayton offense off the scoreboard for a large majority of the contest. Dayton outshot Davidson 21-2 but Beltran's brilliant netminding kept the score even.

Armstrong put Dayton ahead on a corner kick, of which the Flyers had 11 in the game with just three minutes remaining. The goal was the two-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week's eighth goal of the year and first career postseason goal.

Davidson finishes its season at 6-8-5. Dayton improves to 11-2-3.
