2024 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Men’s and Women’s Championship Set For Saturday

MECHANICSVILLE, VA –- The Atlantic 10 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday, November 2 at Pole Green Park course in Mechanicsville, Va, hosted by the University of Richmond.
 
The 36th annual Women’s Cross Country Championship is a 6K course for the second time in A-10 history and will kick off at 10:00 a.m. The 47th annual Men’s Cross Country Championship (8K) will begin at 10:50 a.m.
 
The Men’s Cross Country Championship includes five programs ranked in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional Rankings. Loyola Chicago, the men’s cross country preseason favorite, is No.5 in the Men’s Midwest Region USTFCCCA Regional Rankings. The Ramblers are looking to win their third title in as many years in the Atlantic 10.  
 
La Salle is No. 8, Saint Joseph’s is No. 10, and George Washington is No.13 in the Men’s Mid-Atlantic Region USTFCCCA Regional Rankings. Massachusetts is No. 6 in the Men’s Northeast Region USTFCCCA Regional Rankings.
 
Three women’s programs are ranked in the USTFCCCA regional rankings, including the women’s cross country preseason favorite Loyola Chicago. The Ramblers, who have won back-to-back A-10 titles, are ranked seventh in the Women’s Midwest Region USTFCCCA regional rankings. La Salle is No. 10 and Duquesne is No.14 in the Women’s Mid-Atlantic Region USTFCCCA Regional Coaches poll.
 
Six men return from the 2023 Atlantic 10 championship top individuals including three top five finishers: George Mason’s Wesley Bond, Loyola Chicago’s Francois Guilhot, and Loyola Chicago’s Woody Jerome. Jerome also received the 2023 Most Outstanding Rookie award. Four women return from the 2023 A-10 Championship top individuals.
