DAVIDSON, N.C. – The first-ever Atlantic 10 Master’s Qualifier for individual tennis will take place this weekend, with bids to the NCAA Individual Championship qualification round on the line.
Davidson will serve as host for the event, which includes singles and doubles for both women and men.
On the women’s side, there are 22 women’s doubles players entered, resulting in 11 draws, and there are also 22 draws for 23 players in women’s singles. The first matches begin Friday at 9 am.
There are 18 men’s players registered for singles for 18 draws and 18 doubles players for nine draws. The first men’s matches also begin at 9 am Friday.
The winners in men’s and women’s singles and men’s and women’s doubles all advance to the NCAA qualifier for the new NCAA Fall Individual Tennis Championship, which was moved from the spring season beginning this year.
