Recent Saint Joseph's graduate Aislinn O'Brien '23 qualified for the 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships as a member of USRowing's lightweight women's double sculls. 

At the USRowing's 2023 Under 19 and Under 23 National Team Trials this past Wednesday, O'Brien and teammate Katrina Miehlbradt won the U23 lightweight women's double sculls by more than 40 seconds with a time of 7:21.28 to qualify for the USRowing squad.

Named to the 2023 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team, O'Brien was a key member of the Hawks' Varsity 8 that captured bronze at the 2023 A-10 Championship. Placing second in the the Head of the Schuylkill in the Women's Championship Pair this spring, the Phoenixville, Pennsylvania native was a standout in the classroom earning both A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Saint Joseph's Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognitions, and graduating this past May with a degree in health science.

The 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships will be held July 19-23 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
