BALTIMORE -- Two Atlantic 10 student-athletes are participating in the NCAA Leadership Forum this weekend. George Mason women’s soccer player Milan Pierre-Jerome and Matthew Andrusko, a men’s soccer player from Loyola Chicago are attending. Additionally, Saint Joseph’s Director of Student-Athlete Development Erick Woods is also in attendance.
Started in 1997, the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum provides “invaluable leadership skills, a refined understanding of the relationship among personal values, core beliefs and behavioral styles, and the support of a close personal network of like-minded peers to provide continued connection and dialogue after the program concludes.” Over the course of the 26-years of the program, over 5,000 student-athletes have returned to their campuses with valuable leadership skills and experiences.
Pierre-Jerome, a transfer from Maryland, started all 19 games for George Mason last fall, a senior midfielder from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., she tallied four assists to lead the Patriots. She also served as team captain and took nine shots. She is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in broadcast journalism and plans to be a sports medical doctor or sports broadcaster.
Andrusko is a sophomore midfielder from Brookfield, Wisc., He did not play as a freshman and he appeared in four games during the 2022 season. Andruskois a Supply Chain Management major.
This year's Leadership Forum is taking place April 13-16 in Baltimore.
