NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference named Alexander Behr of St. Bonaventure as Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week, with James Gourlay of Davidson earning Men’s Rookie. Women’s Performer of the Week went to Ali Tyler of George Mason with Gabriela Herbreder of La Salle earning Rookie laurels. The awards were given for outstanding performances in meets from Nov. 17-20.
 
Behr, a sophomore from Letzendorf, Germany, notched an individual victory along with a relay win at the Magnus Cup. He swam a time of 47.52 in the 100 fly to set a new St. Bonaventure program record while also swimming a leg in the victorious 800 freestyle relay (6:41.43).
 
Gourlay, a freshman out of Charlotte, N.C., swept both diving events at the Bucknell Invitational. He earned 273.554 points on the 1-meter dive and 204.00 on the 3-meter dive.
 
Tyler, a native of Chesire, Conn., won three individual events while also being a part of a trio of victorious relays at the Patriot Invitational. The sophomore won the 100 back (53.53) and 200 back (1:57.55) while serving as a member of the following relay teams: 200 freestyle relay (1:31.68), 200 IM (1:59.45), 400 medley relay (3:40.32), 200 medley relay (1:40.71) and the 800 freestyle relay (7:21.67).
 
Herbreder, a sophomore product from Poland, finished in first place on four separate occasions in the Bucknell Invitational. She swam as part of 200 freestyle relay (1:32.55) and 400 freestyle relay (3:22.69) while also competing individually in the 200 IM (1:58.52) and 50 freestyle (23.02).
