AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts (10-5-4, 5-3-2 A-10) orchestrated an offensive clinic as the No. 4 Minutewomen outgunned fifth-seeded St. Bonaventure (7-8-4, 5-4-1 A-10) in the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals, 5-1, Sunday afternoon at Rudd Field.

With the win, Masschusetts advances to the program's third straight Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championship semifinal match, battling eighth-seeded Saint Joseph's at 1:00 pm ET on Friday, Nov. 5. The contest will be broadcast live via ESPN+.

After a fifth-minute stike from sophomore McKenna Robinson vaulted SBU out in the front early, the Minutewomen were quick to respond in the opening period of play, evening the match behind a header from freshman Ashley Lamond in the 12th minute before surging into the lead via a score from junior Serena Ahmed.

Lamond, UM's top scorer for the year, collected her sixth goal of the year with the equalizer while Ahmed's eventual game-winner serves as her first this season.

In spite of the halftime advantage, UMass poured on three more goals at the 56th, 84th and 90th minutes of play. The scores – logged by senior Mia Carazzo, junior Olivia Gouldsbury and sophomore Lauren Robles, respectively – pushed the Minutewomen to their highest goal mark and win differential of the 2021 campaign, surpassing a 3-0 victory over UMass Lowell on Aug. 26 for both counts.
