A-10 Swimming Programs Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Atlantic 10 had 17 teams from 11 institutions that were honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) amongst its Fall 2016 Scholar All-America Teams.  To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the Fall Semester.

All 11 Atlantic 10 women’s programs (Davidson, Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Richmond, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis) along with six men’s programs (Davidson, Fordham, George Mason, George Washington, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis) were honored.

In total, 394 institutions, accounting for more than 630 teams, from all divisions were honored on Wednesday. Ninety-one additional teams and thirty-six more institutions achieved the honor compared to a year ago.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
